Take Family Photos at the Same Location

As a photographer I often feel the pressure to find unique, different locations for family photoshoots - because otherwise am I even being creative?! But this season I was reminded how special it is to repeat photoshoot locations for your family photos.

Enter my favorite indoor location - Esbenshade’s Garden Centers in Lititz, PA. It’s a lovely, colorful, and warm location all year round but especially great for fall and winter when cold winds make their way in. When you want the vibes of the outdoors but your kids don’t handle chilly weather well, Esbenshade’s is my go-to.

This fall I had the privilege of taking family photos for my sweet friends who we get to do life and ministry alongside. We took photos at Esbenshade’s this year, just as we did in 2023. And since their last family photos there was an adorable addition to their family. Comparing the photos from 2023 to today was magical — I was literally tearing up looking at how their beautiful family has changed in just a short time. Repeating the photoshoot location made comparing the photos extra special.

There’s nothing wrong with choosing a new location for every photoshoot…but there’s also nothing wrong with repeating a location. Look how special it is to compare the two sessions, you can really see the growth over the years. Basically, you do you and let the magic happen!
